Who is AA9DY?

I'm Wayne Wagner (Jr.). I was originally from a little town of Manhattan, IL, which is about 40 miles south of Chicago. After high school I joined the U.S. Navy for eight years as a Nuclear Propulsion Plant Operator aboard the U.S.S. California (CGN-36) and later as an instructor and Plant Leading Electrician at one of the training facilities in Idaho.

Afterwards, I attended college and graduated with honors from the University of Illinois in Urbana with a BS in Electrical Engineering, where I met my wonderful wife Michelle. We got married before my last semester of school in August 1998.

I am currently an Antenna & Microwave Engineer in the Defense Industry. Prior to this I worked in the Telecommunications Industry for 10 years, where I was involved in Cellular Phone Design. I earned a Masters of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, while working at this first job after college. You can find my profile on Linkedin.com
